Young Muslim! Everything has a Purpose (3)

When we look around we see everything has a purpose from the needle to the button to the rocket.

If someone sees a button for the first time and asks: "what is this?" And the manufacturer comes and explains what the button is, what it does and the purpose of making it; you will certainly appreciate having it and display gratitude to the one who invented it. Especially, if it caters to some of your daily demands.

Logically speaking, if a non-living object, such as this simple button, entails a purpose and a cause, who is a wise, knowledgeable and able manufacturer, then certainly every living creature unquestionably entails a greater purpose and a wiser, more knowledgeable and able Creator.

Allāh, the Exalted and Glorified, said about us being created for a purpose: (Then did you think that We created you uselessly (i.e. without a purpose) and that to Us you would not be returned?) (Noble Qur'ān 23:115)

Allāh, the Exalted, also said: (And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them for mere play (i.e. without purpose)) (Noble Qur'ān 44:37)

Allāh, the Exalted, created this life for a purpose and he had explicitly communicated that purpose to us, which is to worship Him alone.

Allāh, the Exalted, said : (and I did not create the jinn and human but to worship me.) (Noble Qur'ān 51:56)

In Islām worship is a comprehensive way of life, which touches every aspect of our life. As Muslims this entails that we fully comply with the instructions and guidance of Allāh, if we are keen to attain prosperity in this life and eternal bliss in the hereafter.
