Why I Should not Celebrate!
If someone slurs your father and promotes a celebration to slur your father, are you going to participate in such celebration?!
Or maybe, prepare yourself with the appropriate outfit; or decorate your house to show rejoice!!
Or maybe, sell the celebration items in your store to those who celebrate slurring your father!!
Sadly, there are people who do this; do even worse than this; and join in such a disgraceful act!
Soon the Christians world shall celebrate the birth of a son of god! Free Allāh, the Exalted, from all the flaws which they ascribe to Him.
Believe it or not, this is the reason for celebrating Christmas.
After knowing this, is it appropriate for a sane Muslim to rejoice, greet or even join Christians in celebrating Christmas?!
And is it justifiable to say: “I feel embarrassed not to greet them; or not to give them Christmas card or gifts?”
Certainly, ascribing a son to Allāh, the Glorified and Exalted, is worse than slurring the fathers, mothers and the entire creation.
Read how Allāh, the Glorified and Exalted, described such detestable and offensive statement:
(And they say: "The Most Gracious (Allāh) has begotten a son (88) Indeed you have brought forth (said) a terrible evil thing. (89) Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins, (90) That they ascribe a son to the Most Gracious (Allāh). (91) But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Gracious (Allāh) that He should beget a son (92) There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Gracious (Allāh) as a slave. (93) Verily, He knows each one of them, and has counted them a full counting. (94)And every one of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (95)). (Noble Qur’ān Ch. 19 Mariam)
Despite this gruesome defamation, the Prophet ﷺ still exerted kindness and pity when dealing with the Christians, which is a divine guidance. Allāh, the Exalted, informed us to: (Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good preaching and argue with them in a way that is best). (Noble Qur’ān Ch. 16: 125)
Allāh, the Exalted, descried how the Christians get touched when they hear the Qur’ān: (and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers (i.e. Muslims) those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant. ( 83 ) And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they have recognized of the truth. They say, "Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses.) (Noble Qur’ān Ch. 5: 82-83)
Finally, respected brothers and sisters; be aware of this celebration; warn against engaging in it; and enlighten others in your social networks. Let’s exploit this opportunity and illustrate to the Christians –through dawah- our immense love, cherish and respect to Prophet Jesus and his mother Mary peace be upon them.
May Allāh, the Exalted, protect us all from mischief and to guide us to the best of deeds.
